v0.1.0 · Release candidate

TigerPassword — a zero-knowledge vault for passwords, passkeys and seed phrases

For people who want to pay once, own their vault, and keep hardware-wallet recovery phrases next to their passwords — without a subscription or a company server. TigerCodes never sees your vault; there is no TigerCodes server to see it.

Release candidate

TigerPassword v0.1.0 is unaudited pre-release software. Don’t store real credentials or seed phrases in it yet. An independent security audit comes before 1.0.

What it does

TigerPassword features

  • Zero-knowledge by design

Your vault never touches TigerCodes servers — there aren’t any. Cloud storage only ever sees ciphertext.

  • Sync through storage you already use

iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Syncthing or Nextcloud. Conflicting edits merge without losing data.

  • Seed-phrase aware

Validates BIP-39 phrases and points to the wrong word. Recognizes Electrum, Monero and SLIP-39 formats.

  • Phishing-resistant autofill

Matches sites on the Public Suffix List, so lookalike domains don’t get your password.

  • Vault Health

Finds reused, weak and old passwords. Breach checks send only a 5-character hash prefix.

  • Encrypted scheduled backups

Encrypted .tpbk backups with retention, to a folder, WebDAV, S3 or SFTP.

How it works

From install to running

  1. Create your vault: a master password, a Secret Key and a printable Recovery Kit.

  2. Add items or import them, entirely on your device.

  3. Sync through your own cloud, scan the QR code on your phone, and autofill.

FAQ

TigerPassword questions

What if I lose my master password?

There is no recovery, by design. Your printable Recovery Kit holds the Secret Key for setting up a new device, but it never contains your master password — and nobody, including TigerCodes, can reset it.

Does TigerCodes host my vault?

No. There is no TigerCodes server. Your encrypted vault lives on your devices and in the cloud storage you choose.

What happens if my license lapses?

The app becomes read-only, never locked: reveal, copy, autofill, export and backup keep working.

Which browsers are supported?

Chromium-based browsers today, through an extension that works alongside the desktop app.

Is it audited?

Not yet. TigerPassword is a release candidate, and an independent security audit comes before 1.0. Don’t store real credentials or seed phrases in it until then.

What does a breach check send?

Only the first 5 characters of a hash of the password. The password itself never leaves your device.
