v0.1 · Pre-release

RemoteTiger — remote desktop and file transfer for your own computers

For people who want to reach their own computers from anywhere without a subscription. Control your Macs and PCs from an iPhone, iPad, Mac or Windows PC, move files both ways and help someone with a one-time code, over a connection that’s encrypted between your devices. One license covers every device on your account.

  • macOS 14+ · host and viewer
  • Windows 10 and 11 · host and viewer
  • iPhone iOS 17+
  • iPad iPadOS 17+
  • Self-hosted server Docker

Pre-release

RemoteTiger 0.1 isn’t released yet. It is built and heads to a private beta once its apps are signed and tested on real hardware.

What it does

RemoteTiger features

  • Direct when it can be

Your devices connect peer to peer whenever the network allows. When it doesn’t, an encrypted relay forwards traffic it can’t read.

  • A full control surface

Hardware video encoding, a pointer drawn on your own device so it never lags, Cmd and Ctrl swapped for you, and a trackpad mode that turns an iPhone into a mouse.

  • Files both ways

Drag files in and out, or browse a computer’s folders without opening its screen. Transfers resume where they stopped, and every chunk is checked.

  • Help someone with a code

A one-time 12-digit code that expires in 10 minutes. The person at the computer approves every session and can end it at any time.

  • Who can connect

Each device has its own key, so there’s no password to steal. New devices need approval, two-factor sign-in is built in, and a lost device can be revoked everywhere, even offline.

  • Our server or yours

Use the hosted server, or run your own with one install command and move your account to it later.

How it works

From install to running

  1. Install RemoteTiger Host on each Mac or Windows PC you want to reach, and the viewer on the devices you use.

  2. Add your devices to one account with a short enroll code, and set a PIN for unattended access.

  3. Connect from anywhere: directly when the network allows, through the encrypted relay when it doesn’t.

Pricing model

How RemoteTiger is sold

One lifetime license per account covers every device on it, with no recurring fee.

A 14-day trial includes everything; after it, sessions are view-only until you buy. A paid account keeps working through our outages.

FAQ

RemoteTiger questions

Does my screen go through your server?

Not when your devices can reach each other directly. When they can’t, the relay forwards encrypted traffic it can’t read. The server keeps your account, your devices’ public keys and 90 days of session records, including the names of transferred files.

Can I reach a computer nobody is sitting at?

Yes, with a PIN you set on that computer. Control from the Mac login window and the Windows sign-in screen is built and being tested on real hardware.

Can I run my own server?

Yes. The server runs in Docker with one install command, and you can move your account between servers. How the self-hosted server will be offered is still being decided.

Which devices does it support?

You can control Macs and Windows 10 or 11 PCs, from a Mac, a Windows PC, an iPhone or an iPad. Android isn’t supported.

Is it a subscription?

No. One license per account covers every device on it.

Can I help a family member?

Yes. They read you a one-time 12-digit code and approve the session, and a banner on their screen lets them end it at any time.
