Is it an antivirus?
No. It removes malware and adware using public threat research and Apple’s XProtect rules, and its menu bar app warns when something new installs itself to run at startup. Real-time scanning needs an entitlement from Apple that TigerClean doesn’t have yet.
Can it break something?
Every module shows what it found and removes nothing until you confirm. Items go to the Trash where possible; caches and logs are deleted because apps rebuild them. The two categories that modify apps are off by default and warn first.
What counts as my household?
The Macs used by you and the people you live with. Install on each one with the same email. A business, school or shared office needs its own license.
Does it send my files anywhere?
No. Scans, hashing and image comparison all run on your Mac, and no file names or paths leave it. TigerCodes sees only license checks, the daily definitions download and update checks.
Why does it ask for Full Disk Access?
macOS blocks every app from Mail, Safari and some caches unless you grant it. Without it TigerClean still works, but it skips those places and says so. It never asks for Photos, Music or network volumes.
Which Macs does it run on?
Macs with Apple silicon running macOS 13 Ventura or later.
