MailTiger — fast, private mail for Mac, iPhone and iPad

For people who want Spark’s best ideas without a company’s server between them and their mailbox. MailTiger talks directly to Gmail, Outlook, iCloud and any IMAP server. Everything you do happens on your device first and is written down before it reaches the server, so the app never waits on the network.

  • macOS 26
  • iOS 26
  • iPadOS 26

In development

MailTiger 0.1.0 isn’t released yet. The engine, reading, search and sending are built; Smart Inbox, notifications, AI and the release work are still ahead.

What it does

MailTiger features

  • Every account, one inbox

Gmail and Google Workspace, Outlook and Microsoft 365 with their own sign-in, plus iCloud, Yahoo, Fastmail and any IMAP server, with the settings found for you.

  • Never waits on the network

Reading, search, archive and moving around use a database on your device. Actions queue offline and replay exactly once, even after a crash.

  • Search like Gmail, everywhere

from:, has:attachment, newer_than: and the rest, across every account, with saved searches. About 5 ms across 100,000 messages in the engine benchmark.

  • Sending you can trust

Undo Send, an Outbox that shows where every message is, Send Later, and drafts that save themselves and continue on your other devices. An interrupted send is never resent on its own.

  • Private by default

Remote images stay blocked until you allow them, and known tracking pixels are stripped even then. Mail never runs scripts, and MailTiger will never add read-receipt pixels.

  • Coming in 1.0

Smart Inbox sorted on your device, snooze, a gatekeeper for new senders, notifications, widgets, a command palette and private on-device AI. Planned, not in the app yet.

How it works

From install to running

  1. Install MailTiger on your Mac, iPhone or iPad, and sign in with Google or Microsoft or add any IMAP account.

  2. Your newest mail arrives first, and the rest syncs behind it into a database on your device.

  3. Start a 14-day trial with your email and no card. One license then covers five of your devices.

Which accounts work?

Gmail and Google Workspace, Outlook.com and Microsoft 365, iCloud, Yahoo, Fastmail and any IMAP server. On-premises Exchange isn’t supported.

Is it a subscription?

No. One payment covers up to five of your devices.

When can I use it?

MailTiger is in development. The mail engine, reading, search and sending are built; Smart Inbox, notifications and AI come next. There’s no release date yet.

Is there a Windows or Android version?

No. MailTiger is built only for Mac, iPhone and iPad.

Will it use AI?

Planned for 1.0: on your device by default, optional with your own Claude key, and it will never send mail on its own.
