v1.2 · Runs TigerCodes’ own products

TigerLicense — a self-hosted license server with checkout and signed downloads

For developers who sell software and want licensing, payments and update delivery on their own infrastructure, with no per-license fees. It is the license and update server behind TigerTradeBot and TigerPassword.

  • Docker Compose
  • Dokploy
  • Go server

Verify a license offline

A few lines in your app, checked offline

Your app pins the public key at build time and checks the license file’s RSA-4096 signature locally. This example is from the Go SDK’s README. The SDKs for Rust, Java, Spring Boot, .NET and .NET Framework verify the same signed files.

verify.goGo SDK · go-license-client
v, err := tl.NewVerifierFromFile("tigercodes-public.pem")
if err != nil {
	log.Fatal(err)
}

r := v.VerifyOfflineFile("license.offline.json")
if !r.Valid {
	fmt.Println("license invalid:", r.Error)
	return
}
if r.HasFeature("premium") {
	// enable premium features
}

What it does

TigerLicense features

  • Signed licenses that verify offline

    RSA-4096 signatures checked against a public key pinned in your app. Licenses keep verifying even if TigerCodes disappears.

  • Activation you control

    Machine fingerprints and concurrent-session limits, grace periods, and trials limited to one per email per product. Revoke, suspend, reinstate and transfer.

  • Stripe checkout and subscriptions

    Hosted Checkout and an embeddable signup widget. Renewals re-sign the same license; a dispute revokes it. Customers manage billing in Stripe’s portal.

  • Digital downloads and updates

    Stable, beta and trial channels, signed update manifests, one-time download links that expire after 72 hours, and a tigerpublish CLI.

  • SDKs in six languages

    Go, Rust, Java, Spring Boot, .NET and .NET Framework.

  • Admin and customer portals

    Two-factor sign-in required for admins (TOTP, FIDO2, passkeys), scoped HMAC-signed API keys, anomaly alerts, GDPR export and erasure, and white-label branding.

How it works

From install to running

  1. Deploy it with Docker Compose and generate your RSA-4096 key pair.

  2. Create products. Sell through Stripe, or issue licenses from the admin, the CLI or a bulk import.

  3. Your app verifies licenses with an SDK, offline or online, and pulls signed updates.

FAQ

TigerLicense questions

What happens to my licenses if TigerCodes disappears?

They keep verifying. Your app checks the signature against a public key you pinned, with no call to us.

Are there per-license fees?

No. The planned model is a one-time purchase, and you issue as many licenses as you need.

Which databases does it support?

BadgerDB (the embedded default), PostgreSQL 14+ and MongoDB 8, with migration between them.

Which languages have SDKs?

Go, Rust, Java, Spring Boot, .NET and .NET Framework.

Can I white-label it?

Yes. Upload your logo and icon and set your brand colors and name; the admin and customer portals and the emails your customers receive use them in place of ours.

How stable is the API?

The /v1 REST API comes with a 12-month deprecation promise.
